Patient
Manage patient records and services
In this module we are going to show you how to access a patient profile, and start adding services. Note that this module is purely for medical records, financial records will later be discussed.
Accessing Patient Profile
As you can see, you search for a patient by mobile or card number. Once found, patient info will be displayed e.g. full name, payer, plan. In order to start adding medical records e.g. prescriptions, reports simply click on Access Profile button.
Security & Consent
Before accessing patient profile, there are some notes to take under consideration.
Note that for security reasons, the user could add a lock on his profile such that no one can access it without his permission. If so, you will ask the patient for a 6-digit code to confirm his consent.
Note that sometimes payer will require OTP (this is different from pin code), in which case a random 6-digit will be generated on Lnkr Patient mobile app that he can share it with you to access the profile.
Create New Patient
The user can also simply create a new patient, if there is no record. Simply click on Create Patient, then fill up patient name and mobile number. If insured, select the insurance company and corresponding network then card number if appropriate.
Basic Info
Detailed information about payer, plan and patient medical history entered by the patient on mobile app.
Medical Records
Mainly the prescriptions, lab results, scan imaging and reports. These are the ones previously entered by other medical providers. Prescriptions and Reports are solely entered by doctors. Lab Results entered by Laboratory Centers, while Scan Imaging are added by Radiology Centers. To create a new prescription, there are mainly 4 sections available: drugs, lab tests, scan imaging, and diagnosis. Usually you will directly choose from a category list but you can also search directly for an item.
Once a prescription or record is submitted, it would be instantly available for patient on mobile app and also his payer on Lnkr Payer platform.
Out-Patient Services
The out-patient services conducted at the hospital, for the patient during visit. As usual you can directly search for a service or simply choose from drop menu. For any service, you should see the corresponding price that the patient should pay. This is mainly in accordance to our previously revised contracts. Again, once a service is added and your contract has been approved, the payer will be instantly notified. The payer will then proceed to accept or decline the service, sometimes even processing is done by our internal engine. For example, a service is automatically approved if it met certain criteria.
For records shared with payer, there is approval fields that are filled out by the appropriate personnel at Lnkr Payer.
In-Patient Services
Mainly surgeries & other procedures requiring more than one-day stay. This is the nightmare to every hospital, that’s why we simplified the flow to a great extent, making it way easier. First the user shall simply create a new admission, by filling up some basic information about the patient stay as you can see e.g. ward type, admission reason, main complaint, etc. Once an admission item is created you can start adding pre authorization items. This is mainly shall be shared with the insurance company to follow up on the case in real-time. Such items could be a procedure, consumables, medication, etc. Simply choose the type you want to select, then choose quantity & unit price if there is no pricing for the item. If there is already pricing for the item it shall be automatically displayed. Once submitted, the insurance company will have instant visibility on the estimated cost for this admission. Interestingly, you can send multiple pre authorization requests under the same admission, since the insurance will enjoy an itemized view i.e. can reject or approve per item.
